Abstract
The sprocket (12) disclosed in this invention comprises a sprocket body (24), a plurality of sprocket teeth (26), a splined portion (28), a plurality of first knurled ridges (30), and a plurality of second knurled ridges (32). The plurality of sprocket teeth (26) extend radially outward from the sprocket body (24). Each of the plurality of sprocket teeth (26) is symmetrical with respect to an axial tooth center plane (26a). Each of the plurality of sprocket teeth (26) is symmetrical with respect to a circumferential tooth center plane (26b). The splined portion (28) comprises a plurality of splined teeth (28a) configured to engage with a plurality of other splined teeth (16c) of an additional component (16) of a human-powered vehicle in a torque-transmitting manner when the sprocket (12) is mounted in an installed state of one of the human-powered vehicles. The splined portion (28) is configured to directly or indirectly abut against a locking member (14) in the axial direction in the installed state. A plurality of first knurled protrusions (30) are provided on the first axial facing surface (12a) of the splined portion (28). A plurality of second knurled protrusions (32) are provided on the second axial facing surface (12b) of the splined portion (28). The sprocket 12 includes a sprocket body 24, a plurality of sprocket teeth 26 , a splined portion 28, a plurality of first knurling protuberances 30, and a plurality of second knurling protuberances 32. The plurality of sprocket teeth 26 extend radially outwardly from the sprocket body 24 in the radial direction. Each of the plurality of sprocket teeth 26 is symmetric with respect to the axial tooth center plane 26a. Each of the plurality of sprocket teeth 26 is symmetric with respect to the circumferential tooth center plane 26b. The splined portion 28 includes a plurality of spline teeth 28a configured to engage with a plurality of other spline teeth 16c of an additional component 16 for the human-powered vehicle in a torque-transmitting manner in a mounted state where the sprocket 12 is mounted to the human powered vehicle. The splined portion 28 is configured to directly or indirectly abut on a lock member 14 in the axial direction in the mounted state. The plurality of first knurling protuberances 30 are provided to the first axially facing surface 12a of the splined portion 28. The plurality of second knurling protuberances 32 are provided to the second axially facing surface 12b of the splined portion 28.
