Abstract

This invention discloses a polymerizable compound, a liquid crystal composition comprising the polymerizable compound, and a liquid crystal display device. The polymerizable compound is a compound as shown in Formula I: wherein and represent independently: or , and and are not simultaneously ; any one hydrogen atom in and can be replaced by a C1-C5 alkyl or alkoxy group, a C2-C5 alkenyl or alkenyloxy group, a fluorinated C1-C5 alkyl or alkoxy group, a fluorinated C2-C5 alkenyl or alkenyloxy group, or a halogen; wherein any one or more unconnected -CH 2- groups can be independently replaced by -O-, -S-, -CO-, -CH 2O-, -OCH 2-, -COO-, or -OOC-. This polymerizable compound has the advantages of small SEM particle size after polymerization, excellent diffusion properties, and antistatic properties. When used in liquid crystal display devices, it offers advantages such as good uniformity, rapid static electricity release, and avoidance of display defects such as bright spots.
