Mesenchymal stromal cell drugs and their application in the treatment of acute stroke

Abstract

This invention discloses a mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) drug and its application in the treatment of acute stroke. The invention provides a cell drug comprising mesenchymal stromal cells and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. Compared to stem cells, the expression levels of mRNAs encoding self-renewal and differentiation in the MSCs are negative. The MSCs constitute more than 90% of the cell drug. This cell drug follows the characteristics and mechanism of action of stromal cells, homing to the neovascularization formed by endothelial cells at the site of injury within an effective time window. It promotes / maintains angiogenesis and remodels the microenvironment at the injury site, fully ensuring the safety and effectiveness of disease treatment and providing a new method for the diagnosis and treatment of related diseases.
