Abstract

[Problem] To provide a door or window that can improve waterproofing. [Solution] The door or window includes: an upper frame 11; an upper frame 21 disposed below the upper frame 11; and a water-retaining material 52 disposed on one of the upper frame 11 and the upper frame 21, contacting the contact surface 215a of the other of the upper frame 11 and the upper frame 21. The upper frame 11 has: a first water-retaining wall portion 111 disposed on the outdoor side Y1 along the vertical direction Z; an upper wall portion 114 extending from above the lower end portion 111d of the first water-retaining wall portion 111 toward the indoor side Y2; and a second water-retaining wall portion 115 extending downward from the upper wall portion 114 and disposed on the indoor side Y2 of the first water-retaining wall portion 111. The second water-retaining wall portion 115 is disposed further outside the outdoor side Y1 than the contact surface 215a. The door or window is a longitudinally sliding window or a casement window.
