Taxane Compositions and Their Uses

Abstract

This disclosure pertains to the field of antitumor technology, specifically relating to a taxane composition and its use. The taxane composition is an aqueous taxane composition comprising taxane, which is used by bladder instillation to treat individuals with bladder cancer, and has at least one of the following characteristics: (1) at least about 5% of the taxane is free taxane; (2) the concentration of the free taxane is about 0.01 mg / mL to about 0.8 mg / mL. Alternatively, the aqueous taxane composition is used by bladder instillation to treat patients with bladder cancer, and after administration of the aqueous taxane composition to the patients with bladder cancer, the taxane in the plasma of the patients with bladder cancer has at least one of the following characteristics: (1) the concentration of taxane in the plasma of the patients with bladder cancer is at least about 0.02 ng / mL; (2) the AUC of taxane in the plasma of the patients with bladder cancer is at least about 0.02 h* ng / mL.
