Abstract

[Problem] To provide an ultra-abrasive vitrified grinding stone with large-diameter pores, which is less prone to cracking, can be manufactured stably, has uniform pore size, and allows for easy adjustment of grinding stone composition. [Solution] An arc-shaped grinding stone (ultra-abrasive vitrified grinding stone with large-diameter pores) 14 includes a hollow granule body 20 with a shell 26, wherein the shell 26 is formed by bonding diamond abrasive grains (ultra-abrasive grains) 18 with the aforementioned vitrifying binder. The inner cavity of the hollow granule body 20 forms large-diameter pores 22 within the porous structure of the arc-shaped grinding stone 14. Therefore, in the kneading material used for forming, the hollow granule body 20 is less unevenly distributed and uniformly mixed, making it less prone to cracking, thus obtaining an arc-shaped grinding stone 14 that can be manufactured stably, has uniform pore size, and allows for easy adjustment of grinding stone composition.
