Description

Folding tool with locking mechanism The present invention mainly discloses a folding tool, particularly a folding tool with a locking mechanism. Please refer to Chinese Patent No. M537006, "A Positioning Folding Tool," which is a folding tool comprising a shell, a support plate, a plurality of tool parts, a fixing part, and a positioning unit. The support plate is disposed inside the shell. Each tool part includes a positioning member with a plurality of grooves and a tool fixed to the positioning member. The fixing part includes a fixing member and a locking member. The positioning unit includes an elastic member and a positioning piece. A first end of the positioning piece is pushed by the elastic member, causing a second end of the positioning piece to present a first position. The first position is where the tool and the support plate form a first angle and are fixed to each other. Pressing the first end of the positioning piece compresses the elastic member, causing the second end of the positioning piece to present a second position. The second position is where the tool and the support plate move within a second angle range. However, the tool part and the positioning plate of the above-mentioned folding tool are located on opposite sides of the tool. If the user presses the positioning plate first, the tool needs to be flipped over to see the tool part and rotate it. The same applies if the user grabs the tool first and then presses the positioning plate. Not only is it not easy to operate, but the length of the tool part cannot be too long so as not to block the positioning plate. In view of the shortcomings of the above-mentioned conventional structures, the inventors have designed a folding tool with a locking mechanism, which can overcome all the disadvantages of the above-mentioned conventional structures. The main objective of this invention, a folding tool with a locking mechanism, is to provide a folding tool comprising a body, a tool head assembly, and a positioning mechanism. The tool head assembly includes at least one first tool head, one end of which is provided with a first pivot portion pivotally connected to the body. The first tool head has at least one first latching portion on the outer periphery of the first pivot portion. The positioning mechanism includes a first positioning button, which is rotatably connected to the body between a first locked position and a first released position about a virtual first axis. The first positioning button is provided with a first buckle and a first operating portion. In the first locked position, the first buckle engages with the first latching portion and restricts the rotation of the first tool head relative to the body. In the first released position, the first buckle disengages from the first latching portion and releases the restriction on the rotation of the first tool head relative to the body. The first operating portion protrudes from the body along the first axis. This folding tool, through the above structure, facilitates user operation and provides more efficient space configuration. The body includes a central base with an integral structure. The central base has a first pivot hole on each of its two opposite sides along the first axis. The first positioning button includes a first pin and a first fastener. The two ends of the first pin are respectively inserted into the two first pivot holes. The first fastener is disposed in the central base and can be rotatably sleeved on the first pin with the first pin as the center. The first buckle is disposed on the first fastener. The middle seat has a first sliding groove on one side along the first axis. The body includes a first side cover and a second side cover. The first side cover and the second side cover are respectively connected to opposite sides of the middle seat along the first axis. The first operating part is disposed on the first fastener. The first operating part passes through the first sliding groove and is disposed on the side of the first side cover opposite to the middle seat. The positioning mechanism includes a first elastic member with a first winding portion between its two ends. The first winding portion is wound at least once and sleeved on the first pin. One end of the first elastic member is inserted into the middle seat and the other end abuts against the side of the first fastener opposite to the first pivot portion. When the first positioning button is in the first release position, the first fastener pushes the first elastic member to twist and deform. The first elastic member can provide a thrust to move the first positioning button toward the first locking position. The body includes a first pivot and two first locking members. The first pivot is inserted into the middle seat in a direction parallel to the first axis. The two first locking members pass through the first side cover and the second side cover respectively from the side opposite to the middle seat of the first side cover and the side opposite to the middle seat of the second side cover and are connected to the first pivot by screw locking. The first pivot part is sleeved on the first pivot. The middle seat has a non-circular first limiting hole on one side adjacent to the first side cover. The first pivot has a first limiting part with a shape corresponding to the first limiting hole on one end adjacent to the first side cover along the radial outer periphery of the first pivot. The first limiting part is inserted into the first limiting hole, so that the first pivot cannot rotate relative to the middle seat. The tool head assembly includes at least one second tool head. One end of each second tool head has a second pivot portion pivotally connected to the body. At least one second locking portion is provided on the outer periphery of the second tool head. The positioning mechanism includes a second positioning button, which is rotatably connected to the body between a second locked position and a second released position about a virtual second axis. The second positioning button has a second latch and a second operating part. In the second locked position, the second latch engages with the second locking portion and restricts the second tool head from rotating relative to the body. When released, the second latch disengages from the second locking part and releases the restriction on the rotation of the second tool head relative to the body. The second operating part protrudes from the body along the second axis. The middle seat has a second pivot hole on each of its opposite sides along the second axis. The second positioning button includes a second pin and a second fastener. The two ends of the second pin are respectively inserted into the two second pivot holes. The second fastener is disposed within the middle seat and can be rotatably fitted onto the second pin with the second pin as its center. The second latch is disposed on the second fastener. The middle seat has a second sliding groove on one side along the second axis. The second operating part is disposed on the second fastener. The second operating part passes through the second slide groove and is disposed on the side of the first side cover opposite to the middle seat. The positioning mechanism includes a second elastic member with a second winding portion between its two ends. The second winding portion is wound at least once and sleeved on the second pin. One end of the second elastic member is inserted into the middle seat, and the other end abuts against the side of the second fastener opposite to the second pivot portion. When the second positioning button is in the second release position, the second fastener pushes the second elastic member to twist and deform. The second elastic member can provide a thrust to move the second positioning button to the second locking position. The body includes a second pivot and two second locking mechanisms. The second pivot is inserted into the middle seat in a direction parallel to the axial direction of the second axis. The two second locking members pass through the first side cover and the second side cover respectively from the side opposite to the middle seat and the side opposite to the middle seat and are connected to the second pivot by screws. The second pivot part is sleeved on the second pivot. The middle seat is provided with a non-circular second limiting hole on the side adjacent to the first side cover. The second pivot is provided with a second limiting part with a shape corresponding to the second limiting hole along the outer periphery of the second pivot in the radial direction at one end adjacent to the first side cover. The second limiting part is inserted into the second limiting hole, so that the second pivot cannot rotate relative to the middle seat.
