Abstract

This invention provides a workpiece supply device and method that can shorten cycle time or suppress workpiece damage. The workpiece supply device 21 includes: a material box 22; a pusher 25; a turntable 24; a clamp 26; and an intermediate member 23, which is disposed adjacent to the outlet 222 in the gap between the outlet 222 and a predetermined position P, and supports the workpiece W taken out from the outlet 222. The pusher 25 is configured to take the workpiece W2 contained in the material box 22 onto the intermediate member 23 during the switching operation of the first guide rail 241 and the second guide rail 242.
