Cast roll and film manufacturing apparatus

Abstract

The goal is to stabilize the state of the resin flakes in the casting roll. The casting roll system includes a cylindrical roll body, a cooling mechanism, and a suction mechanism. The roll body system forms flakes by cooling and solidifying extruded molten resin on the surface of the roll body, and then conveys the resulting resin flakes while they remain in contact with the surface of the roll body. The cooling mechanism is configured to cool the entire surface of the roll body. The suction mechanism is configured to suction the surface of the roll body from the radially inner side of the roll body.
