Methods for managing the placement of items

Abstract

The article presents a method for managing the placement of articles, which manages the placement of articles when they are transferred to a predetermined area and stored using a transfer device. The method includes: an identification step, in which the position information of the transfer device is detected when the transfer device arrives at the storage destination; a calculation step, in which the occupancy range of the article within the predetermined area is calculated using the position information of the transfer device detected in the identification step and the size information of the article read from a product label affixed to the article; and a recording step, in which information related to the occupancy range of the article calculated in the calculation step is recorded in a recording device.
