Abstract
This invention provides a thermoplastic resin with sufficiently high optical properties and excellent physical properties such as photoelasticity and saturated water absorption, and an optical lens containing such a thermoplastic resin. The above-mentioned problem is solved by a thermoplastic resin containing a constituent unit (A) derived from a difunctional compound represented by the following general formula (1). In general formula (1), W represents phenyl or cyclohexyl, and n represents 0 or 1.
