Abstract
[Problem] This invention provides a resin composition suitable for forming optical components containing optical waveguides with low refractive index that do not crack during thermal cycling tests. Furthermore, it also provides an optical waveguide containing a cured form of the resin composition, an optoelectronic hybrid substrate containing the optical waveguide, and an apparatus containing the optoelectronic hybrid substrate. [Solution] A resin composition for forming an optical component comprises: (a) a silicate polymer having unsaturated bond groups, (b) surface-modified silicon dioxide nanoparticles, (c) a photopolymerization initiator, and (d) a polyfunctional thiol compound.
