Description

Multifunctional large cell culture chamber This invention relates to a large cell culture chamber, and more particularly to a multifunctional large cell culture chamber that achieves cell culture objectives through effective automatic control technology and safe maintenance mechanisms. Conventional cell culture methods primarily utilize small incubators to culture one or a small number of cell culture flasks. While this method effectively controls environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and gas concentration in small-scale operations, it proves inefficient for large-scale cell production. When large quantities of cells need to be cultured, multiple incubators or multiple culture operations must be performed, increasing equipment costs and complicating operations. Furthermore, the frequent opening and closing of small incubator doors for loading / unloading culture flasks or changing media and performing tests can increase the impact of external environmental factors on the cell culture environment, such as temperature fluctuations or the risk of contamination. Therefore, traditional small incubator methods are insufficient to meet the demands of modern biomedical and industrial applications for large-scale cell culture. To overcome the limitations of small incubators, the industry has proposed using large cell culture chambers. Compared to traditional incubators, large cell culture chambers have a much larger capacity, accommodating multi-layer cell culture racks and a large number of cell culture flasks. However, while this technology increases the scale of cell culture, it also introduces insurmountable drawbacks. First, due to the large number of cell culture flasks, effectively arranging, handling, and monitoring them becomes a major challenge. Especially during media changes, testing, or sample collection, manual operation is still required, which not only increases the workload of staff but also raises the risk of errors and contamination. Furthermore, traditional large-scale cell culture laboratories typically require personnel to enter the environment to perform culture operations, such as changing culture media, moving culture flasks, or monitoring. However, these operations expose personnel to prolonged exposure to high humidity, high temperature, and high gas concentrations, impacting work comfort, potentially increasing physiological burden, and even posing potential health risks. In addition, because cell culture areas usually require maintaining sterile conditions, each entry can introduce external contaminants such as dust, bacteria, or viruses, contaminating the culture environment and affecting cell culture stability. Therefore, reducing the risk of contamination to cell culture areas by personnel while improving operational safety and convenience is a significant challenge facing current technologies. Traditional large-scale cell culture laboratories typically require personnel to enter the environment to perform culture operations, such as changing culture media, moving culture flasks, or monitoring. However, these operations expose personnel to prolonged exposure to high humidity, high temperature, and high gas concentrations, affecting not only their comfort but also potentially increasing their physiological burden and even posing potential health risks. Furthermore, because cell culture areas usually need to maintain sterile conditions, each entry can introduce external contaminants such as dust, bacteria, or viruses, contaminating the culture environment and affecting the stability of cell cultures. Therefore, reducing the risk of contamination to cell culture areas by personnel while improving the safety and convenience of operations remains a significant challenge for current technologies. In view of this, based on the inventor's many years of experience in manufacturing, developing and designing related products, and after detailed design and careful evaluation for the above objectives, the inventor has finally obtained an invention that is truly practical. The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a multifunctional large-scale cell culture chamber to address the above-mentioned deficiencies in the prior art. A culture chamber, shaped like a square cabinet, is surrounded by a front wall, a rear wall, two side walls, a roof panel, and a floor. Inside the culture chamber, a cell culture area and a maintenance area are separated by a door panel. The cell culture area is adjacent to the front wall, and the maintenance area is adjacent to the rear wall. Two frames are erected parallel to the side walls within the cell culture area, and multiple bases are arranged in a matrix on these frames. A culture flask window is opened on the front wall. Multiple shaking devices are installed at the bases, each with a shaking disc for holding a cell culture flask. A transfer device includes two tracks, a main shaft, and a first gripper. A second gripper; two tracks are respectively fixed to the roof panel and the floor, and both tracks are parallel to the frame. One end of each track is adjacent to the front wall, and the other end extends to the maintenance area. One end of the main shaft is connected to a steering mechanism, and the other end is connected to a suspension component. The steering mechanism slides on the track on the floor, and the suspension component slides on the track on the roof panel. The first gripper and the second gripper both slide on the main shaft. The first gripper is used to hold the cell culture flask and transport it between the culture flask window and the shaking plate. The second gripper is used to hold the shaking device and transport it between the maintenance area and the base. The shaking device includes a plate, a driver, at least one jack, and a limiting frame. The driver and the jack are both fixed to the plate. The driver is connected to an inclined seat, and the jack is connected to an inclined block. An extension is connected to the center of the shaking plate, and a rod is inserted between the extension and the inclined seat. The limiting frame is located between the shaking plate and the plate, and the limiting frame abuts against the inclined block. When the limiting frame descends, the shaking plate is tilted. When the limiting frame is lifted by the jack, it supports the shaking plate to be horizontal. The base of the frame has two sliding grooves and two ball grooves. The plate of the rocking device is equipped with two spherical bodies. When the plate slides in the sliding grooves, the two spherical bodies are limited to the two ball grooves. A clamping member is provided on the plate. The second clamping claw clamps the clamping member to extract the device and counteracts the resistance between the spherical bodies and the ball grooves to remove the rocking device. The cell culture flask has a plurality of positioning recesses at the bottom, and the shaking plate has a plurality of corresponding positioning protrusions. The positioning recesses and positioning protrusions are combined, and the limiting frame is equipped with an infrared sensor to detect whether the cell culture flask is placed on the shaking plate. The cell culture flask has a cap body, and a sensor host is fixed to the outside of the cap body. The sensor host is electrically connected to a sensor rod, and the sensor rod is inserted into the cell culture flask through the cap body. The sensor rod is used to sense the temperature and pH value of the culture medium inside the flask. The culture chamber has a flow guide zone between each of the two side walls and the two frames. A temperature control device is installed in the frame and the flow guide zone. The temperature control device includes a plurality of fans, a plurality of thermal resistors, and a plurality of thermal resistance strips. The fans and thermal resistors are installed in groups on the frame and are located near the roof and the floor. The thermal resistance strips are installed in the flow guide zone. The fans blow air towards the flow guide zone, so that the hot air generated by the thermal resistors and the thermal resistance strips is directed towards the cell culture flask. The steering mechanism includes a frame, a steering motor, a tube, a support base, a lower gear, and an upper gear. The steering mechanism is slidably mounted on the track by the frame. The steering motor is fixed to the frame and has an upwardly protruding steering column. The tube is connected to the frame, and the steering column is located inside the tube and connected to the lower gear. The support base is connected to the tube and contains a tapered roller bearing and a thrust bearing. A load-bearing rod and a steering rod extend coaxially from the main shaft. The load-bearing rod passes through the support base and is supported by the tapered roller bearing and the thrust bearing. The steering rod is located in the tube and connected to the upper gear. The lower gear meshes with the upper gear, allowing the steering motor to not bear the weight of the main shaft. The first gripper is equipped with a first motor, which drives the first gripper to complete the clamping action. The first gripper is connected to a slider, and the first gripper slides laterally on a lifting arm with the slider. The lifting arm slides longitudinally on the main shaft, and the lifting arm is equipped with a third motor, which moves the slider. The second gripper is equipped with a second motor, which drives the second gripper to complete the clamping action. The second gripper is connected to a displacement block, and the second gripper slides laterally on a horizontal arm with the displacement block. The horizontal arm slides longitudinally on the main shaft, and the horizontal arm is equipped with a fourth motor, which moves the displacement block. The culture flask has a platform extending outward from the window, and an ultraviolet lamp is mounted directly above the platform. The first gripper holds the cell culture flask and places it on the platform, or the first gripper holds the cell culture flask on the platform and the ultraviolet lamp is used to sterilize the surface of the cap of the cell culture flask. The main objective of this invention is that the culture chamber contains a cell culture area and a maintenance area separated by a door panel. The cell culture area is used to hold multiple cell culture flasks. One end of a track is adjacent to the front wall, and the other end extends to the maintenance area, allowing the main shaft to move along the two tracks. Both the first and second grippers slide on the main shaft to achieve vertical movement. The first gripper holds the cell culture flask and transports it between the flask window and the shaking plate, while the second gripper holds the shaking device and transports it between the maintenance area and the base. When the transfer equipment and the shaking device require maintenance or repair, the transfer equipment can be moved to the maintenance area. Therefore, operators do not need to enter the cell culture area, thus avoiding the risk of personnel entering the cell culture area with high carbon dioxide concentrations, effectively improving operator safety and reducing the risk of contamination of the cell culture area. Other purposes, advantages, and novel features of this invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description and related drawings. To enable your review committee to have a better understanding of the purpose, features, and effects of this invention, the following detailed description is provided in conjunction with (brief explanation of the drawings): Please refer to Figures 1 through 5. A multifunctional large-scale cell culture chamber includes: a culture chamber 10, a plurality of shaking devices 20, and a transfer device 30. The culture chamber 10 is a square cabinet-shaped structure surrounded by a front wall 101, a rear wall 102, two side walls 103, a roof panel 104, and a floor 105. Inside the culture chamber 10, a cell culture area 12 and a maintenance area 13 are separated by a door panel 11. The cell culture area 12 is adjacent to the front wall 101, and the maintenance area 13 is adjacent to the rear wall 102. The cell culture area 12 is parallel to the side walls 102. Two frames 14 are erected on the side wall 103, and a plurality of bases 15 are arranged in a matrix on the frames 14. A culture flask window 16 is opened on the front wall 101. A plurality of shaking devices 20 are installed on the bases 15. Each shaking device 20 has a shaking disc 21, which is used to hold a cell culture flask 40. The cell culture flask 40 is covered by a cover 41. A sensor host 42 is fixed to the outside of the cover 41. The sensor host 42 is electrically connected to a sensor rod 43, which is inserted into the cell culture flask 40 through the cover 41. The sensing rod 43 senses the temperature and pH of the culture medium inside the bottle, thereby achieving automated cell culture through analysis of the sensed values. A transfer device 30 includes two tracks 31, a main shaft 32, a first gripper 33, a second gripper 34, and a deflector 35. The two tracks 31 are respectively fixed to the roof panel 104 and the floor 105, and both tracks 31 are parallel to the frame 14. One end of each track 31 is adjacent to the front wall 101, and the other end extends to the maintenance area 13. One end of the main shaft 32 is connected to the deflector 35, and the other end of the main shaft 32... A suspension member 321 is connected to the end. The steering device 35 is slidably mounted on the track 31 at the floor 105, and the suspension member 321 is slidably mounted on the track 31 at the roof panel 104, so that the main shaft 32 can be displaced along the two tracks 31. The first gripper 33 and the second gripper 34 are both slidably mounted on the main shaft 32 to form a height movement. The first gripper 33 is used to hold the cell culture flask 40 and transport it between the culture flask window 16 and the shaking plate 21. The second gripper 34 is used to hold the shaking device 20 and transport it between the maintenance area 13 and the base 15. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the culture chamber 10 has a flow guide zone 17 between each of the two side walls 103 and the two frames 14. A temperature control device 50 is installed at the frame 14 and the flow guide zone 17. The temperature control device 50 includes a plurality of fans 51, a plurality of resistance thermometers 52, and a plurality of resistance thermometer strips 53. The fans 51 and the resistance thermometers 52 are grouped together and installed on the frame 14, adjacent to the roof panel 104 and the floor 10. The thermal resistance strip 53 is installed in the flow guide area 17, and the fan 51 blows air towards the flow guide area 17, so that the hot air generated by the thermal resistance strip 53 and the thermal resistance 52 is directed to the cell culture flask 40. In conjunction with the sensing rod 43, the temperature of the culture medium in the flask is sensed, thereby adjusting the culture temperature of multiple cell culture flasks 40 in the culture chamber 10. In particular, it is suitable for large cell culture chambers, so that each cell culture flask 40 can maintain a suitable temperature for growth. As shown in Figures 7 and 8, the steering gear 35 includes a frame 351, a steering motor 352, a tube 353, a support base 354, a lower gear 355, and an upper gear 356. The steering gear 35 slides on the track 31 via the frame 351. The steering motor 352 is fixed to the frame 351, and a steering column 352A protrudes upward from the steering motor 352. The tube 353 connects to the frame 351, and the steering column 352A is located inside the tube 353 and connected to the lower gear 355. The support base 354 connects to the tube 353, and a tapered roller bearing 357 and a thrust bearing 358 are installed inside the support base 354. A support rod 322 and a steering rod 323 extend coaxially from the main shaft 32. The rod 322 passes through the support seat 354 and is supported by the tapered roller bearing 357 and the thrust bearing 358. The weight of the main shaft 32, the first gripper 33 and the second gripper 34 are all transmitted to the support seat 354 by the support rod 322. The weight is borne by the integrally assembled support seat 354, the tube body 353 and the frame body 351. The steering rod 323 is located in the tube body 353 and is connected to the upper gear 356. The lower gear 355 meshes with the upper gear 356. The upper gear 356 does not press down on the lower gear 355, so that the steering motor 352 does not bear the weight of the main shaft 32. That is, the steering motor 352 can drive the main shaft 32 without load, which effectively improves the durability of the steering motor 352. As shown in Figures 6, 7, and 8, the first gripper 33 is equipped with a first motor 331, which drives the first gripper 33 to complete the clamping action. The first gripper 33 is connected to a slider 332, and the first gripper 33 slides on a lifting arm 333 via the slider 332. The lifting arm 333 is longitudinally slidable on the main shaft 32, and the lifting arm 333 is equipped with a third motor 334. The third motor 334 moves the slider 332, causing the first gripper... The lifting arm 333 can move horizontally along the lifting arm 333, which is used to control the height position of the first gripper 33. This allows the first gripper 33 to grasp the cell culture flask 40 at different positions and transport the cell culture flask 40 along the track 31 to the front wall 101. Then, the steering device 35 rotates the main shaft 32 so that the first gripper 33 passes through the culture flask window 16, thereby achieving the practical function of automatically taking out or putting back the cell culture flask 40 from the culture chamber 10. Furthermore, a platform 161 extends outward from the window 16 of the culture flask, and an ultraviolet lamp 162 is mounted directly above the platform 161. The first gripper 33 holds the cell culture flask 40 and places it on the platform 161, or the first gripper 33 holds the cell culture flask 40 on the platform 161 and before it holds the cell culture flask 40. The ultraviolet lamp 162 is used to sterilize the surface of the cap 41 of the cell culture flask 40. Continuing from Figures 12 to 14, the shaking device 20 further includes a plate 22, a driver 23, at least one lifting device 24, and a limiting frame 25. The driver 23 and the lifting device 24 are both fixed to the plate 22. The driver 23 is connected to an inclined seat 231, and the lifting device 24 is connected to an inclined block 241. An extension 211 is connected to the center of the shaking disc 21, and a plug 2 is inserted between the extension 211 and the inclined seat 231. 32, allowing the extension 211 to swing around the insertion rod 232 as the axis, the limiting frame 25 is disposed between the shaking disk 21 and the plate 22, and the limiting frame 25 abuts against the inclined block 241. When the limiting frame 25 descends, the shaking disk 21 is tilted. When the limiting frame 25 is lifted by the inclined block 241 of the lifting device 24, the limiting frame 25 can support the shaking disk 21 to be horizontal, so that the first gripper 33 can smoothly pick up the cell culture flask 40. When the limiting frame 25 rises, the rocking disk 21 is horizontally supported by the limiting frame 25. At this time, the extension 211 is raised and swings around the insert rod 232, keeping the rocking disk 21 horizontal. When the limiting frame 25 falls, the extension 211 swings downward and is limited to the tilting seat 231. At this time, the rocking disk 21 is tilted. The driver 23 drives the extension 211 through the tilting seat 231, so that the rocking disk 21 forms a three-dimensional circling rocking motion, thereby effectively improving its rocking effect. The cell culture flask 40 has a plurality of positioning recesses 44 at the bottom, and the shaking plate 21 has a plurality of positioning protrusions 212. The positioning recesses 44 and the positioning protrusions 212 are combined, and the limiting frame 25 is equipped with an infrared sensor 251. The infrared sensor 251 is used to detect whether the cell culture flask 40 is placed on the shaking plate 21, thereby assisting in achieving automatic control. As shown in Figures 9 through 11, the second gripper 34 is used to hold the rocking device 20 and transport it between the maintenance area 13 and the base 15. The second gripper 34 is equipped with a second motor 341, which drives the second gripper 34 to complete the clamping action. The second gripper 34 is connected to a displacement block 342, and the second gripper 34 slides laterally on a horizontal arm 343 with the displacement block 342. The horizontal arm 343 slides longitudinally on the main shaft 32, and the horizontal arm 343 is equipped with a fourth motor 344, which moves the displacement block 342. To further explain, the base 15 of the frame 14 has two sliding grooves 151 and two ball grooves 152. The plate 22 of the shaking device 20 is equipped with two spherical bodies 221. When the plate 22 slides in the sliding grooves 151, the two spherical bodies 221 are confined to the two ball grooves 152. A clamping member 222 is provided on the plate 22, and the second gripper 34 clamps the clamping member 222 for extraction, and counteracts the resistance between the spherical bodies 221 and the ball grooves 152 to remove the shaking device 20. This allows for quick removal of the shaking device 20, which is then transported to the maintenance area by the transfer device 30. In zone 13, the door panel 11 can be briefly opened in conjunction with the transfer device 30. After the main shaft 32 enters the maintenance zone 13, the door panel 11 is quickly closed, allowing the shaking device 20 to be repaired and maintained in the maintenance zone 13. Similarly, when the transfer device 30 needs maintenance or repair, it can be moved to the maintenance zone 13. Therefore, the operator does not need to enter the cell culture zone 12, thereby avoiding the operator from entering the cell culture zone 12 with a high concentration of carbon dioxide. This effectively improves the safety of the operator and reduces the risk of the operator contaminating the cell culture zone. The above description is merely one preferred embodiment of the present invention and should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present invention; that is, all equivalent changes and modifications made in accordance with the claims of the present invention should still fall within the scope of the present invention. 10: Culture Chamber 101: Front Wall 102: Rear Wall 103: Side Wall 104: Roof Panel 105: Floor 11: Door Panel 12: Cell Culture Area 13: Maintenance Area 14: Frame 15: Base 151: Slide 152: Ball Slot 16: Culture Bottle Window 161: Storage Platform 162: Ultraviolet Lamp 17: Guide Zone 20: Shaking Device 21: Shaking Disc 211: Extension 212: Positioning Protrusion 22: Plate 221: Spherical Body 222: Clamping Component 23: Driver 231: Skewer Seat 232: Insertion Rod 24: Elevator 241: Inclined Block 25: Limiting Frame 251: Infrared sensor 30: Transfer device 31: Track 32: Main shaft 321: Suspension component 322: Load-bearing rod 323: Steering rod 33: First gripper 331: First motor 332: Slider 333: Lifting arm 334: Third motor 34: Second gripper 341: Second motor 342: Displacement block 343: Horizontal arm 344: Fourth motor 35: Steering device 351: Frame 352: Steering motor 352A: Steering column 353: Tube body 354: Load-bearing seat 355: Lower gear 356: Upper gear 357: Tapered roller bearing 358: Thrust bearing 40: Cell culture flask 41: Cap 42: Sensor host 43: Sensor rod 44: Positioning recess 50: Temperature control device 51: Fan 52: Thermistor 53: Thermistor strip Figure 1 is a perspective view of the present invention.
