Abstract

The present disclosure provides engineered allogeneic cells, such as iPSC-derived CD8+ T cells, that include a combination of knock-in of exogenous factors and knockout or knockdown of endogenous genes to confer allogeneic protection. The engineered allogeneic cells exhibit increased viability in the presence of natural killer cells in comparison to non-engineered cells. The present disclosure also proves methods of use of the engineered allogeneic cells.
