Modular thermochemical surface treatment system

Abstract

This specification relates to a thermochemical processing system (10) comprising a plurality of processing units (30, 40) and a common sealed housing (16) having means (22, 26) for transferring a load (28) from one processing unit to another, wherein one of the processing units is a nitriding unit (30) comprising a nitriding housing for receiving the load (28), and the common sealed housing (16) is movable or permanently connected to the processing units (30, 40). The present description relates to a thermochemical treatment system (10) comprising several treatment cells (30, 40) and a common sealed enclosure (16) provided with handling means (22, 26) for transferring a load (28) from one treatment cell to another, where one of the treatment cells is a nitriding cell (30) comprising a nitriding enclosure, to receive the load (28), the common sealed enclosure (16) being movable or being permanently connected to the treatment cells (30, 40).
