Abstract

[Topic] To promote the development of photoreceptor units. [Solution] A photosensitive unit is detachable from a device body of an image forming apparatus having a first main body-side helical gear and a second main body-side helical gear that rotate coaxially. The photosensitive unit includes: a photosensitive element rotatable about a rotation axis; a first unit-side helical gear for meshing with the first main body-side helical gear; and a second unit-side helical gear for meshing with the second main body-side helical gear. The torsional direction of the teeth of the second unit-side helical gear is the same as that of the teeth of the first unit-side helical gear, and the torsional angle of the teeth of the second unit-side helical gear is larger than that of the teeth of the first unit-side helical gear. When the first unit-side helical gear is meshing with the first main body-side helical gear and the second unit-side helical gear is meshing with the second main body-side helical gear, the first unit-side helical gear and the second unit-side helical gear rotate.
