Abstract

The robot control unit's display unit shows the motion program, which includes the direct teaching motion instructions prior to recording the teach point's position information. When the operator selects a direct teaching motion instruction and begins the direct teaching operation, the teach point setting unit sets the teach point based on the robot's position and posture obtained during the operator's movement of the robot's components. The instruction generation unit generates the robot's motion instructions, which record the teach point's position information set by the teach point setting unit.
