Management methods and database devices

Abstract

A management method and database apparatus are provided to suppress the amount of data written to a storage device. A first vector database stored in the storage device records a group of first information fragments displaying each of a plurality of first vectors. The plurality of first vectors correspond to a plurality of nodes constituting a first directed graph. The management method includes: generating a second directed graph containing two or more nodes corresponding to two or more second vectors, while simultaneously generating a second vector database in volatile memory, the second vector database recording a group of third information fragments displaying each of two or more second vectors. The management method further includes: updating or setting one information fragment from the group of first information fragments and the group of third information fragments, thereby combining the first directed graph and the second directed graph, and storing the second vector database in the storage device.
