Abstract

An office automation seating chart communication method involves a tablet computer displaying a seating chart plan on its touchscreen. The seating chart plan has multiple touchable seating blocks divided according to the seating positions of office personnel, each displaying personnel information. When the tablet computer determines that a seating block has been selected, it transmits a call request via a communication server to another tablet computer corresponding to the personnel information displayed in the selected seating block. When the tablet computer and the other tablet computer initiate a voice call, the tablet computer controls a directional speaker to limit the transmission range of the sound output from the other tablet computer to the vicinity of the user's ears, and the tablet computer controls a directional microphone to receive the user's audio and transmit it to the other tablet computer.
