Abstract

The system provides a "display system, image processing device, and correction data generation method" to ensure that the displayed image on the display surface seen through the micro-perforations of the covering surface does not overlap with the pattern of the covering surface, thus preventing the displayed image from being difficult to see. In a display system where the display surface of the display device (2) is covered by a patterned instrument panel (3) with multiple micro-perforations, the image processing device (1) performs grayscale inversion on the brightness distribution data appearing on the instrument panel (3) when the entire display surface is displayed uniformly in the same color. The data generated by processing the inverted data with a low-pass filter is used as correction data, and the image data displayed on the display surface is corrected using the correction data. As a result, a correction effect equivalent to offsetting the pattern of the instrument panel (3) can be obtained, and the problem of the pattern of the correction data appearing to deviate from the pattern of the instrument panel (3) and making the displayed image difficult to see can be reduced even when the display surface is viewed from an oblique angle.
