Abstract

A novel display device is provided in which the light-emitting element is illuminated by a triangular wave. One embodiment of the invention is a driving method for a display device including a first pixel, a second pixel, a first wiring, a second wiring, and a third wiring. The first wiring is electrically connected to both the first and second pixels. The second wiring is electrically connected to the first pixel, and the third wiring is electrically connected to the second pixel. First display data is supplied to the first pixel via the second wiring, and second display data is supplied to the second pixel via the third wiring. The first pixel or the second pixel begins emitting light at different times. At a first time, the first pixel reaches its maximum brightness corresponding to the first display data, and the second pixel reaches its maximum brightness corresponding to the second display data. By supplying a reset signal to the first wiring, the first and second pixels are initialized and turned off at a second time.
