Abstract
The present invention relates to an interlocking device for an air circuit breaker (ACB) and a molded case circuit breaker (MCCB), designed to address the interlocking requirements in medium- and low-voltage power distribution circuits. Traditionally, when interlocking between an ACB and an MCCB is necessary, an additional distribution panel is installed to resolve this issue. This panel incorporates two newly installed switches configured as an automatic transfer switch to achieve the interlocking function. However, such a solution does not allow direct interlocking of the pre-existing ACB and MCCB, presenting several challenges.One significant problem arises from the fact that ACBs and MCCBs from different manufacturers often have incompatible specifications and dimensions. Additionally, space constraints in the power distribution room can make it impractical to install an extra distribution panel, further complicating the implementation of an effective interlocking mechanism.The interlocking device proposed in this invention features a primary interlocking linkage lockbox, an MCCB locking mechanism, and an ACB locking mechanism. This design enables direct interlocking between the ACB and MCCB without requiring an additional distribution panel. Furthermore, it is adaptable to ACBs and MCCBs of various specifications and sizes, regardless of the manufacturer. The invention offers a simple installation process, cost efficiency, and improved power supply reliability and quality.
