Abstract

The battery (10) comprises: an electrode body (14); an outer can (20) for housing the electrode body (14); a sealing body (19) for blocking the opening of the outer can (20); and a conductive member (40) joined to the upper surface of the sealing body (19) (36) of the sealing body (19) in the axial direction opposite to the side of the electrode body (14). The conductive member (40) is made of a conductive material. The melting point of the conductive member (40) is lower than the melting point of the material constituting the upper surface (36). According to this disclosure, a battery that can easily interrupt current from external devices in the event of abnormal heating can be realized.
