Input / output connectors for reducing impedance and crosstalk

Abstract

This application relates to input / output connectors for reducing impedance and crosstalk. This document describes connector designs for reducing impedance and crosstalk, improving alignment and structural integrity, and other benefits. An example connector includes a first sheet body assembly and a second sheet body assembly. The first sheet body assembly includes a first sheet body, a first terminal block, and a downwardly extending first locking protrusion. The second sheet body assembly includes a second sheet body, a second terminal block, and an upwardly extending second locking protrusion. The first and second locking protrusions are sized and positioned to couple with each other and form an interference connection. The locking protrusions can help align the sheet body assembly and the terminal block relative to each other, maintain better positional tolerances in the connector, and achieve other benefits.
