Description

Technical Field

[0001] This case relates to an electrical connection device, and more particularly to a socket assembly and its power supply expansion components. Prior Technology

[0002] Currently, traditional wall-mounted sockets are designed for connectors of electronic devices, allowing electrical energy to be transmitted from a power source to the device. These connectors are typically plugs, transformers, or power converters, and are electrically connected to the device via wires. This allows electrical energy to be supplied to the device through the transmission path formed by the socket, connector, and wires. In other words, traditional sockets cannot directly supply electrical energy to electronic devices without connectors and wires.

[0003] On the other hand, traditional wall-mounted sockets can only provide a fixed number of slots for the corresponding connector leads to be inserted, and cannot be expanded. If you want to expand the number of connectors that can be plugged into the socket, you need to use, for example, an extension cord socket, which results in low application flexibility, low convenience and space occupation.

[0004] In view of this, it is necessary to develop a socket assembly and its power supply expansion components to solve the problems faced by the existing technology. Summary of the Invention

[0005] The purpose of this invention is to provide a socket assembly and its power supply expansion components, which can solve the problems of the prior art and achieve the effects of expanding the power transmission unit, improving the convenience of application, saving space and reducing the risk of poor contact.

[0006] To achieve the aforementioned objectives, one broad embodiment of this invention provides a socket assembly, including a socket and a power supply expansion component. The socket is configured to provide electrical energy from a power source to an electronic device via a transmission path between the socket and a plug. The socket includes a first housing, a first power transmission unit, and at least one first terminal group. The first housing includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion are connected, and the first portion has a first top surface and at least one side surface. At least one side surface is connected to the periphery of the first top surface. The first power transmission unit is disposed in the first housing and electrically connected to a power source, and is configured to allow the plug of the electronic device to be plugged in and detachably connected. At least one first terminal group is disposed on at least one side surface and electrically connected to a power source. The power supply expansion component includes a second housing, at least one second terminal group, and at least one second power transmission unit. The second housing includes a hollow portion, the peripheral wall of which has at least one inner surface. The first portion of the first housing is mated to and detachably assembled to the hollow portion. At least one second terminal group is disposed on at least one inner surface. At least one second power transmission unit is disposed in the second housing and electrically connected to at least one second terminal group. The first part of the first housing of the socket is matched and assembled into the hollow part of the second housing, so that at least one first terminal group and at least one second terminal group are in contact and connected, so that power is supplied to at least one second power transmission unit through the transmission path of at least one first terminal group and at least one second terminal group.

[0007] To achieve the aforementioned objectives, another broad embodiment of this application provides a power supply expansion component suitable for a socket assembly. The socket assembly includes a socket, configured to provide electrical energy to an electronic device via a transmission path between the socket and a plug. The socket includes a first housing and at least one first terminal group. The first housing includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is connected to the second portion, and the first portion has a first top surface and at least one side surface. At least one side surface is connected to the periphery of the first top surface. At least one first terminal group is disposed on at least one side surface and is electrically connected to a power source. At least one second power transmission unit is disposed on the second housing and is electrically connected to the at least one second terminal group. The first part of the first housing of the socket is matched and assembled to the hollow part of the second housing, so that at least one first terminal group and at least one second terminal group are in contact and connected, so that power is supplied to at least one second power transmission unit through the transmission path of at least one first terminal group and at least one second terminal group. The power supply expansion component 2 can switch between the first state, the second state, the third state, and the fourth state. When the first portion 11a of the first housing 11 is fitted into the hollow portion 211 of the second housing 21, such that the first inner surface 212a abuts against the first side surface 112a, the second terminal group 23 contacts and conducts with the first terminal group 13 disposed on the first side surface 112a, and the second power transmission unit 22 is disposed corresponding to the first side surface 112a, a first state is formed, as shown in Figure 2.
