Abstract

The present disclosure provides an inductive power supply and an object detection method thereof. A resonant signal is generated when the resonant capacitor resonates with the power supply coil. A driving unit outputs a driving signal to drive the power supply coil. A voltage detector receives the resonant signal and converts it into a detection signal. A processor controls the driving unit and obtains a resonance period of the resonance signal according to the detection signal when the resonance capacitor resonates with the power supply coil. After the driving unit drives the power supply coil, the resonant capacitor resonates with the power supply coil, and a timer of the processor starts timing. When the resonance period exceeds a period threshold, the timer stops timing. The processor calculates and obtains a measured time length from when the timer starts timing to when it stops timing. When the measured time is less than a preset time, the processor determines that there is an object within the power transmission range of the power supply module.
