Wireless communication methods and apparatus

Abstract

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The UE receives a network-initiated configuration message from a network entity via a satellite. The network-initiated configuration message is transmitted independent of any UE-initiated procedure. The network-initiated configuration message comprises one of: a Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (GUTI) REALLOCATION COMMAND message, a CONFIGURATION UPDATE COMMAND message, or a configuration update message for a sixth generation wireless system. The UE detects one or more store and forward operational parameters included in the network-initiated configuration message. The UE updates store and forward information in the UE based on the one or more store and forward operational parameters.
