Abstract

The objective of this invention is to provide a solid-state imaging device and an imaging apparatus that can suppress the degradation of the spectral characteristics of multispectral images and the image quality degradation of RGB images even when RGB pixels and multispectral pixels are mixed in the pixel array section. The solid-state imaging apparatus disclosed herein includes a pixel array section, which is composed of a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix; and on the photoelectric conversion element contained in each of the aforementioned pixels, a first optical filter having transmission characteristics as a color filter or a second optical filter having transmission characteristics different from the aforementioned first optical filter is provided; the filter size of the aforementioned second optical filter is larger than that of the aforementioned first optical filter.
