Composition, preparation method and use

Abstract

This invention relates to a composition in the form of an oil-in-water dual gel and comprising: (1) a (C1-C2 alkyl)acrylic acid / (C1-C2 alkyl)acrylic acid C10-C30 alkyl ester copolymer as an aqueous phase thickener; (2) an oil phase thickener, preferably comprising one or more selected from sorbitan oleate, dextrin palmitate, and polybutene; (3) a polyglycerol emulsifier with an HLB value of 0 to 8, preferably 1 to 8, more preferably 3 to 8; and (4) a solvent. By using the composition in the form of an oil-in-water dual gel comprising the above components, cosmetic products that simultaneously possess high SPF values, good stability, water resistance, and improved skin feel can be prepared. This invention also relates to a method for preparing the composition and its use in the preparation of cosmetics, particularly sunscreen cosmetics.
