Abstract

An electrical discharge machining (EDM) machine includes an electrode support differential mechanism and an electrode assembly. The electrode support differential mechanism includes a column, a support unit, a traction unit, and a drive unit. The column includes a column body and a first fixed portion. The support unit includes a first support seat movably disposed on the column body and having a first opening, and a second support seat movably disposed on the column body and having a second opening. The traction unit includes a first rotating member higher than the first fixed portion and connected to the first support seat, and a first traction member. The first traction member passes over the upper side of the first rotating member, and its two opposite ends are respectively fixed to the first fixed portion and the second support seat. The first support seat and the second support seat can move differentially, adjusting their spacing according to the length of the electrode to evenly support the electrode and improve machining accuracy.
