Abstract

A robot system includes: a robot; an operating unit that performs an operation on a workpiece; and a control unit which communicates via a real-time field network capable of guaranteeing real-time communication performance in compliance with Ethernet standards and controls the operation performed by the operating unit on the workpiece ,based on information regarding a relative movement amount of the operating unit with respect to the workpiece resulting from the movement of the workpiece or the operating unit arranged on the robot.
