Abstract

This invention provides a straddle-type vehicle that improves the freedom of foot placement for the rider, enhances foot stability, and improves visibility of the rider's feet. The straddle-type vehicle of this invention includes a pair of retractable footrests on both sides. These retractable footrests are positioned in front of the pair of main footrests and are separate components, designed to replace the main footrests for the rider to place their feet while seated. Each of the retractable footrests includes a footrest surface and is capable of maintaining two stable static states. This footrest surface is designed for the rider to place their feet while seated.
