Abstract

To improve driving stability and handling with a simplified structure, enhance design flexibility, facilitate assembly and adjustment, and provide a driving experience suitable for user needs, in the driving unit 140, a pair of left and right wheels 155L and 155R are supported by rocker arms 151L and 151R that move vertically and alternately. Neutral reset mechanisms 160L and 160R include telescopic members 165L and 165R that extend and retract with the swing of the rocker arms 151L and 151R, and are configured such that regardless of the amount of swing of the rocker arms 151L and 151R, the torque acting on the rocker arms 151L and 151R by the restoring force of the telescopic members 165L and 165R remains substantially constant. The driving vehicle includes the driving unit 140. In order to improve traveling stability and maneuverability, to improve the freedom in designing layout, to achieve easy assembly and adjustment, and to achieve ride quality suitable for a user, with a simple configuration, a mobile unit (140) includes a pair of left and right wheels (155L, 155R) that are supported by respective swing arms (151L, 151R), and each of which moves up and down alternately in an operative association with the other. Neutral return mechanisms (160L, 160R) include respective extensible members (165L, 165R) each of which is caused to extend and retract by swinging motion of the swing arm (151L, 151R) corresponding thereto, and each of the neutral return mechanisms (160L, 160R) is configured such that torque generated by the restoring force of the extensible member (165L, 165R) and exerted to the swing arm (151L, 151R) remains substantially constant regardless of the amount of the swinging motion of the swing arm (151L, 151R).A mobile vehicle includes the mobile unit (140) described above.
