Abstract

[Problem] To provide a control device for a manually operated vehicle that can appropriately perform gear shifting operations using a derailleur. [Solution] The manually operated vehicle control device includes a control unit for controlling the motor; the control unit, when the crankshaft is stopped, can perform gear shifting operations by changing the gear ratio through a motor-driven transmission and by operating the transmission with a derailleur; the control unit has control states including: a first control state for performing gear shifting operations, and a second control state that further suppresses the driving force of the motor during gear shifting operations compared to the first control state; when the rider is on the manually operated vehicle and the vehicle is stopped, the control state is switched to the second control state, and under predetermined conditions, the control state is switched back to the first control state.
