Abstract
This invention relates to a method for producing NaBH4, comprising: an MB(OR)4 generation step, wherein a borate compound is reacted with an alcohol to produce tetraalkoxyborate (MB(OR)4); and a NaBH4 generation step, wherein the tetraalkoxyborate (MB(OR)4) is converted into sodium borohydride (NaBH4) through a reduction reaction; wherein the M-series alkali metal cation and the R-series hydrocarbon group have one or more but less than ten carbon atoms.
