Abstract

This invention provides a polyester that combines good dielectric properties with excellent processability. The polyester of this invention comprises: a first monomer unit derived from a first monomer having a furan ring with two carbonyl groups bonded together; and a second monomer unit having a condensed aromatic ring; the content of the first monomer unit relative to the total of all monomer units is 0.1 mol% to 40 mol%, and the content of the second monomer unit relative to the total of all monomer units is 20 mol% or more.
