One aspect of the heat treatment apparatus disclosed herein includes: a reactor containing particles; a heating section for heating the particles; a particle supply section connected to the reactor and supplying particles to the reactor; a processing material supply section connected to the reactor and supplying processing material to the reactor; a particle removal section connected to the reactor and removing particles from the reactor; an openable / closable gate disposed between the reactor and the particle removal section; a product removal section connected to the particle removal section and removing product from the reactor; and a disperser disposed between the particle removal section and the product removal section.
