Abstract

The purpose of this invention is to suppress temperature deviations detected by a temperature sensor, which penetrates the central passage of a gas burner in which an annular burner head is mounted on an annular burner body. In this invention, the annular burner head is aligned with the central axis and mounted on an annular burner body 13, which is supplied with a mixture of fuel gas and air, causing combustion of the mixture ejected from a plurality of flame holes opening at the periphery of the burner head. Furthermore, a temperature sensor 40 penetrates the central passage 27, which runs vertically through the burner body and the burner head, with its upper end abutting against the bottom surface of a cooking container positioned above the burner head, thereby detecting the temperature of the cooking container. Moreover, the temperature sensor is positioned and fixed to the burner body within the central passage by fixing parts 41, 42, and 44 located on the burner body.
