Abstract

The present invention addresses the need to provide a small socket and a method for manufacturing a fiber optic connector and a fiber optic connector that simplifies the manufacturing process. The socket (100) of the solution comprises a plurality of fiber optic holes (20) for protruding a plurality of optical fibers (101a) on a front end face (100a), and a plurality of fiber optic guide holes (25) connected to and parallel to the rear end of the plurality of fiber optic holes (20). A fiber optic ribbon insertion hole (25) for inserting the fiber optic ribbon (101) of the plurality of optical fibers (101a) is provided on a rear end face (100b) opposite to one end face. The socket (100) has a sheath (30) and an internal space connecting the plurality of fiber optic holes (20), the fiber optic guide holes (25), and the fiber optic ribbon insertion hole (35). An adhesive filling window (55) for filling the internal space with adhesive (GL) is provided only on one side of the sheath (35).
