Abstract

A display device with a contactless input function is provided. The display device has the following functions: a first function: using a light-receiving device to detect light illuminated by a light source located outside the display unit but blocked by an indicated object, and identifying the indicated position of the indicated object; and a second function: using a light-receiving device to detect light reflected from an indicated object illuminated by a light source located inside or outside the display unit, and identifying the indicated position of the indicated object. The display device can switch between the first and second functions based on the intensity of the light illuminating it from a light source outside the display unit.
