Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a supply chain payment request and payment system, particularly a supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment system and method that allows suppliers to request payments from multiple payers at once, and solves the problem of suppliers lacking credit card payment privileges and payers being unable to use credit cards to pay large sums of money. Prior Technology
[0002] With the development of e-commerce, consumers' consumption patterns and payment methods have undergone tremendous changes. Specifically, the general public's consumption habits have gradually shifted from cash payments and ATM transfers to online card payments and online ATM transfers. In recent years, the rise of electronic payment institutions has provided a completely new channel, allowing users to store value and conduct online transactions. Therefore, electronic payment institutions have brought great convenience to e-commerce.
[0003] For large-amount payments between businesses, credit cards are quite useful for payers. If payers can use credit cards to pay recipients, they have more cash flow and can receive goods before payment is delayed, allowing them to use the goods for production or sales to generate profit. However, with current payment models, if a recipient works with many payers, they need to request payment from each payer individually and compare payment information with each one. This is relatively inconvenient and not timely. Furthermore, recipients usually cannot accept credit card payments because most do not have the qualifications to accept cards, and they also need to pay additional transaction fees. Therefore, recipients generally cannot accept large-amount payments from payers using credit cards.
[0004] Alternatively, if the receiving merchant has many paying merchants, the receiving merchant needs to go through the steps of notifying, verifying or collecting payments from each paying merchant, which is relatively cumbersome and time-consuming in terms of transactions.

[0027] Furthermore, the directional terms mentioned in the following embodiments, such as "up," "down," "left," "right," "front," and "back," are only for reference to the directions shown in the accompanying illustrations. Therefore, the directional terms used are for illustrative purposes and not for limiting the present invention; moreover, in the following embodiments, the same or similar elements will be labeled with the same or similar element numbers.
[0028] First, please refer to Figure 1, which is a block diagram of the supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment system of the present invention. The supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment system 1 mainly includes at least one payee electronic device 2, at least one third-party electronic device 3, at least one payer electronic device 4, and at least one financial institution electronic device 5.
[0029] The recipient electronic device 2 is a network-connected tablet, mobile phone, or computer used by the recipient, who is also the supplier. The third-party electronic device 3 is a network-connected server used by the third party operating the supplier-centric supply chain payment and request system 1. The third-party electronic device 3 connects the recipient electronic device 2 and the financial institution electronic device 5. The third-party electronic device 3 includes a third-party verification module 31, a payer database 32, a data storage module 33, and a payment request processing module 34. The recipient registers on the network platform of the third-party electronic device 3 using the electronic device 2. The third-party electronic device 3 provides a payment request interface to the recipient electronic device 2, giving the recipient electronic device 2 a payment request operation interface 21 with multiple data fields.
[0030] Furthermore, the payment merchant electronic device 4 is a tablet, mobile phone, or computer used by the payer that can connect to the Internet. The payment merchant electronic device 4 is connected to the third-party electronic device 3 and the financial institution electronic device 5. The payment merchant electronic device 4 includes a payment merchant interface module 41, which is an operating interface for operating the payment merchant electronic device 4. The financial institution electronic device 5 is a server used by the financial institution that can connect to the Internet, and the financial institution electronic device 5 includes a financial institution payment module 51.
[0031] Please refer to Figure 2, which is a block diagram illustrating the implementation of the supplier-centric supply chain payment system of the present invention. Before the supplier-centric supply chain payment system 1 makes a payment, the payment merchant electronic device 4 first submits a credit card application request AR to the financial institution electronic device 5. The payment merchant electronic device 4 can submit the credit card application request AR through the payment merchant interface module 41, or the payment merchant electronic device 4 can directly submit the credit card application request AR by connecting to the financial institution electronic device 5 via the network. The financial institution electronic device 5 generates a payment tool PT to the payment merchant electronic device 4. The payment tool PT includes any one of the following: credit card, e-wallet, stored value card, electronic device running a payment application, and two-dimensional barcode. In this embodiment, the credit card is the main implementation method.
[0032] Subsequently, the paying merchant electronic device 4 registers with the paying merchant interface module 41 on the network platform of the third-party electronic device 3 using the paying merchant information provided by the paying merchant interface module 41. The third-party electronic device 3 stores its paying merchant information in the paying merchant database 32, which includes the paying merchant name, paying merchant unified identification number, and payment information of the payment instrument PT (such as credit card number and credit card type). After the paying merchant electronic device 4 completes a registration process RP on the network platform of the third-party electronic device 3, the third-party electronic device 3 verifies its paying merchant information through the third-party verification module 31. The third-party verification module 31 is connected to the databases of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) to verify the paying merchant information. It mainly verifies whether the paying merchant name is legally registered and verifies the payment information of the payment instrument PT. The payment information of the payment instrument PT is verified by information provided by the financial institution electronic device 5. The third-party verification module 31 is used to prevent fraud or money laundering.
[0033] After the third-party electronic device 3 has its payer information verified by the third-party verification module 31, the payer electronic device 2 provides a payee information PSI to the third-party electronic device 3. The payee information PSI includes the designated payee and the designated receiving account. The payer electronic device 4 needs to provide the purchase and sale transaction records and transaction documents with the payee, as well as the payee information and the payee's contact information. The payee information PSI is also stored in the payer database 32.
[0034] After the third-party electronic device 3 obtains the payee information PSI, the third-party verification module 31 performs a verification procedure VP. The verification procedure VP mainly verifies the designated payee and designated receiving account of the payee information PSI. Therefore, the third-party verification module 31 will hand over the payee information PSI to the payee electronic device 2 to confirm whether the designated payee and designated receiving account are correct. If there is an error, the payee information PSI will be confirmed again with the payer electronic device 4. When the designated payee and designated receiving account are confirmed to be correct, the third-party verification module 31 will further confirm whether the designated payee is a high-risk enterprise, such as special industries, officially announced money laundering enterprises, or enterprises with too short an establishment period. High-risk enterprises will not be subject to further procedures.
[0035] Please refer to Figure 3, which is a block diagram illustrating the second implementation of the supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment system of the present invention. When the supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment system 1 is in operation, the receiving merchant's electronic device 2 will first operate on the payment request operation interface 21. Multiple payment request data RPDs are entered in the data field 211. Each RPD includes the recipient of the payment request, the amount requested, the date of the request, the email address, and other details. The receiving electronic device 2 transmits the entered RPDs to a third-party electronic device 3. The third-party device 3 receives the RPDs and stores them in the information storage module 33 in a format suitable for later review. Simultaneously, the third-party device 3 processes the RPDs through the payment processing module 34 and generates a payment request information RI. The third-party device 3 then sends the payment request information RI to the recipient, i.e., the paying electronic device 4. Upon receiving the payment request information RI, the paying electronic device 4 checks it. If the payment request information RI deviates from the expected amount, the paying electronic device 4 verifies it in the information storage module 33.
[0036] Please refer to Figures 4 and 5, which are block-based schematic diagrams of the supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment system of the present invention. For further illustration, when a payee wants to remind multiple payers to make payments, the payee operates on the payment request interface 21. This operation involves entering the multiple payment request data RPDs (such as the payment recipient and the payment amount, payment date, email address, payment details, etc.) for the multiple payers into its data field 211, and then sending the multiple payment request data RPDs entered in data field 211 to the third-party electronic device. 3. The third-party electronic device 3 receives and stores multiple payment request data RPDs from the majority of payers in the information storage module 33, and the storage format is one that can be viewed later. Then, the payment request processing module 34 processes the payment request data RPDs and generates a payment request information RI. The third-party electronic device 3 sends the payment request information RI to the payment request recipients according to the email addresses in the payment request data RPDs. If there are multiple payment request recipients, the information can be sent to multiple payment request recipients at the same time. When the payer's electronic device 4 receives the payment request information RI, it is verified by the payer.
[0037] When the payment merchant electronic device 4 receives the payment request information RI and verifies that it is correct, the payment merchant electronic device 4 processes the payment request information RI through the payment merchant interface module 41, and the payment merchant electronic device 4 inputs a card payment information PI through the payment merchant interface module 41 to the network platform of the third-party electronic device 3. The card payment information PI includes the payment time, payment request form, payee information, and payment amount. After receiving the card payment information PI, the third-party electronic device 3 verifies the card payment information PI through the third-party verification module 31. The verification of the card payment information PI needs to be completed before the payment time. After the verification is completed, the third-party electronic device 3 initiates the payment request and payment procedure of the payment instrument PT, and then the third-party electronic device 3 generates a verification request data CI and sends it to the financial institution electronic device 5.
[0038] If the payer determines that there is an error between its payment request information RI and the expected amount, the payer can use the information of the payer interface module 41 of the payer's electronic device 4 to connect to the information storage module 33 of the third-party electronic device 4 and check the information of the payment request data RPD in the information storage module 33, such as the payment amount, payment date, email address, and payment details.
[0039] Please refer to Figure 6, which is a block diagram illustrating the supplier-centric supply chain payment and request system of the present invention. After receiving the verification request information CI, the financial institution electronic device 5 is processed by the financial institution payment module 51. The payment module 51 then allocates a payment PA to a performance guarantee account 52 opened by the third party or the third-party electronic device 3 at the financial institution at a designated time, and sends a disbursement information MI to the payment processing module 34 of the third-party electronic device 3. Upon receiving the disbursement information MI, the payment processing module 34 of the third-party electronic device 3 sends a transfer instruction TI. The payment method involves providing a financial institution's electronic device 5, which enables the performance guarantee account 52 to transfer the payment PA to the designated account 22 of the payee or the payee's electronic device 2 at a specified time. The payer's electronic device 4, after registration and verification through the third-party electronic device 3, can then swipe its card using the payment tool PT. After swiping, the third-party electronic device 3 requests funds from the financial institution's electronic device 5, which then transfers the funds to the performance guarantee account 52 at the specified time. The third-party electronic device 3 instructs the financial institution's electronic device 5 to transfer the funds from the performance guarantee account 52 to the designated account 22. This allows the payer's electronic device 4 to make payments through the payment tool PT, while the payee's electronic device 2 receives the funds on time, thus resolving the problem of businesses being unable to use credit cards to pay large sums of money.
[0040] Furthermore, the transaction fees generated by the financial institution's electronic device 5 are paid by the payer. These fees can be reduced through agreements between the third party operating the supplier-centric supply chain payment system 1 and the financial institution. The service fee for using the supplier-centric supply chain payment system 1 is also paid by the payer. As a result, the payee's electronic device 2 can receive payments on time, and the payer can obtain sufficient cash flow and receive goods in advance with delayed payments through the agreed transaction fees. The third party operating the supplier-centric supply chain payment system 1 can obtain system usage service fees, and the financial institution can increase the issuance and consumption of payment instruments PT.
[0041] To clearly illustrate the operation of this embodiment, please refer to Figure 7, which is a flowchart of the supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment method of the present invention. The supplier-centric supply chain payment request and payment method includes the following steps:
[0042] Step S1: At least one receiving electronic device enters multiple payment request data in multiple data fields in a payment request operation interface; prior to step S1, the paying electronic device 4 first submits a credit card application request AR to the financial institution electronic device 5, wherein the paying electronic device 4 can submit the credit card application request AR through the paying interface module 41, or the paying electronic device 4 can directly submit the credit card application request AR by connecting to the financial institution electronic device 5 via the network, and the financial institution electronic device 5 generates a payment instrument PT to the paying electronic device 4, the payment instrument PT including any one of credit card, e-wallet, stored value card, electronic device running payment application and two-dimensional barcode, and in this embodiment, credit card is the main implementation method.
[0043] Subsequently, the payment merchant electronic device 4 registers with the payment merchant interface module 41 on the network platform of the third-party electronic device 3 using payment merchant information. The third-party electronic device 3 stores its payment merchant information in the payment merchant database 32, which includes the payment merchant name, payment merchant unified number, and payment information of the payment instrument PT, such as credit card number and credit card type. After the payment merchant electronic device 4 completes a registration process RP on the network platform of the third-party electronic device 3, the third-party electronic device 3 verifies its payment merchant information with the third-party verification module 31. This mainly verifies whether the payment merchant name is legally registered and verifies the payment information of the payment instrument PT. The payment information of the payment instrument PT is verified by information provided by the financial institution electronic device 5, so as to prevent fraud or money laundering through the third-party verification module 31.
[0044] After the third-party electronic device 3 has its payer information verified by the third-party verification module 31, the payer electronic device 2 provides a payee information PSI to the third-party electronic device 3. The payee information PSI includes the designated payee and the designated receiving account. The payer electronic device 4 needs to provide the purchase and sale transaction records and transaction documents with the payee, as well as the payee information and the payee's contact information. The payee information PSI is also stored in the payer database 32.
[0045] After the third-party electronic device 3 obtains the payee information PSI, the third-party verification module 31 performs a verification procedure VP.
[0046] After completing the above procedures, the process proceeds to step S1. The receiving merchant's electronic device 2 will first operate on the payment request operation interface 21. This operation involves inputting multiple payment request data RPDs for multiple payers into its data field 211. Multiple payment request data RPDs are entered for multiple payers in its data field 211. The payment request data RPDs include multiple payment recipients and the payment amount, payment date, email address, payment details, etc. for each payment recipient.
[0047] Step S2: A third-party electronic device receives the payment request data, and an information storage module stores the payment request data. A payment request processing module receives the payment request data and generates at least one payment request information. After the payee electronic device 2 inputs the payment request data RPD, the payee electronic device 2 transmits the input payment request data RPD to the third-party electronic device 3. The third-party electronic device 3 receives the payment request data RPD and stores it in the information storage module 33 in a format that can be viewed later. At the same time, the third-party electronic device 3 processes the payment request data RPD through the payment request processing module 34 and generates a payment request information RI.
[0048] Step S3: At least one payment merchant electronic device receives the payment request information and processes it through a payment merchant interface module to generate a card payment information. After the third-party electronic device 3 generates the payment request information RI, it sends the RI to the requesting party, i.e., the payment merchant electronic device 4. Upon receiving the RI, the payment merchant electronic device 4 checks it. If it determines that the RI differs from the expected amount, it verifies it in the information storage module 33. If the payment merchant electronic device 4 receives the RI and verifies it correctly, the payment merchant electronic device 4 processes the RI through the payment merchant interface module 41, and then inputs a card payment information PI from the third-party electronic device 3's network platform through the payment merchant interface module 41. The card payment information PI includes the payment time, payment request form, payee information, and payment amount.
[0049] Step S4: The third-party electronic device receives the card payment information and a third-party verification module verifies the card payment information to generate a verification request. After receiving the card payment information PI, the third-party electronic device 3 verifies the card payment information PI through the third-party verification module 31. The verification of the card payment information PI needs to be completed before the payment time. After the verification is completed, the third-party electronic device 3 initiates the request and payment procedure for the payment instrument PT. Then, the third-party electronic device 3 generates a verification request CI and sends it to the financial institution's electronic device 5.
[0050] Step S5: At least one electronic device of a financial institution receives the verification request information and a payment module of a financial institution processes the verification request information and disburses payment to a performance guarantee account opened by the financial institution; after receiving the verification request information CI, the electronic device 5 of the financial institution is processed by the payment module 51 of the financial institution, and the payment module 51 of the financial institution will disburse a payment PA to the third party or the third party electronic device 3 in a performance guarantee account 52 opened by the financial institution at a specified time.
[0051] Step S6: The third-party electronic device causes the performance guarantee account to pay the payment to a designated account; after the financial institution payment module 51 disburses the payment PA to the third party's performance guarantee account 52 opened at the financial institution at a specified time, the financial institution electronic device 5 sends a disbursement information MI to the third party electronic device 3's request processing module 34. After receiving the disbursement information MI, the third party electronic device 3's request processing module 34 sends a transfer instruction TI to the financial institution electronic device 5, causing the performance guarantee account 52 to pay the payment PA to one of the designated accounts 22 of the payee or the payee electronic device 2 at a specified time.
[0052] In this way, the paying electronic device 4 can register and verify with the third-party electronic device 3, and then the third-party electronic device 3 can swipe the card using the payment tool PT of the paying electronic device 4. After swiping the card, the third-party electronic device 3 requests funds from the financial institution electronic device 5, and then the financial institution electronic device 5 can allocate funds to the performance guarantee account 52 at a specified time. The third-party electronic device 3 instructs the financial institution electronic device 5 to pay the funds in the performance guarantee account 52 to the designated account 22, thereby enabling the paying electronic device 4 to make payments through the payment tool PT, and the receiving electronic device 2 to receive the funds on time, thus solving the problem that enterprises cannot use credit cards to pay large amounts of money.
[0053] Furthermore, the transaction fees generated by the financial institution's electronic device 5 are paid by the payer.
[0054] The present invention has been described in detail above. However, the above description is only one preferred embodiment of the present invention and should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present invention. All equivalent changes and modifications made in accordance with the scope of the present invention should still fall within the patent coverage of the present invention.
