Abstract

An adjustable angle rotating head for an antenna mast includes a rotating clamp, a bolt, a fixing base, and a handle. When the handle is rotated counterclockwise to the loosened state, the rotating clamp is pulled forward, disengaging a first-type slot on its first engagement surface from the second engagement surface of the fixing base. When the rotating clamp is rotated to a predetermined angle, rotating the handle clockwise to the tightened state causes the bolt to move backward within the axial through hole of the fixing base, forcing the first engagement surface of the rotating clamp against the second engagement surface of the fixing base, and locking the first-type slot on the first engagement surface with one of the slots on the second engagement surface. Therefore, this invention offers multiple advantages: easy storage of omnidirectional antennas, the ability to fix the antenna at any angle (horizontal to vertical) to achieve the optimal receiving position, a slot design on the rotating engagement surface for more secure fixing at a predetermined angle, and the ability to add a rotating stop to prevent over-rotation of the antenna and damage to the cable.

Claims

1. An adjustable angle rotating head for an antenna mast, comprising: a rotating clamp including a chuck on the front side and a first mating surface on the rear side, the first mating surface having multiple first-type slots and a first axial screw hole; and a bolt having a first thread on its front side that can engage with the first axial screw hole, and a second thread on its rear side and a second axial screw hole. A fixed base has a main body, a connecting rod at the bottom of the main body, and an axial through hole relative to the bolt. The front side of the main body has a second engagement surface relative to the first engagement surface, and the second engagement surface has multiple second-type slots that can engage with the first-type slot. In addition, the second engagement surface also includes multiple third-type slots perpendicular to the second-type slots, and multiple fourth-type and fifth-type slots inclined to the second-type and third-type slots. The third, fourth, and fifth-type slots on the second engagement surface can also engage with the first-type slots on the first engagement surface. A handle has a third axial threaded hole relative to the second threaded portion of the bolt, which is screwed onto the rear side of the bolt and locked in the second axial threaded hole with a first screw to limit the rotation distance of the handle in the second threaded portion.
