Abstract

A cable assembly comprises: a pair of signal terminals, the signal terminals comprising signal contact portions and signal tails, the signal tails being spaced apart by a first spacing; an adapter plate comprising a pair of grounding terminals and a pair of signal conductors, the signal conductors comprising a front signal conductor end and a rear signal conductor end, the grounding terminals having a grounding contact portion and a grounding tail, the signal conductors being spaced apart by a second spacing, the front signal conductor ends being electrically connected to the signal tails respectively; a cable comprising an insulating portion, a pair of signal wires, and a grounding member, the signal wires being spaced apart by a third spacing, the grounding member and the free ends of the signal wires being electrically connected to the grounding tails and the rear signal conductor ends respectively.
