Abstract

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing and plural terminals retained in the insulating housing, the insulating housing has an upper face , a lower face, and plural terminal grooves penetrating the upper face and the lower face. The terminals are fixed in the corresponding terminal grooves one by one. Each terminal has a main portion , au upper elastic portion extending from the main portion upwardly, an upper contacting portion , an upper abutting portion, a lower elastic portion extending from the main portion downwardly , a lower contacting portion and a lower abutting portion. The upper abutting portion bends downwardly from the upper contacting portion and the lower abutting portion bends upwardly from the lower contacting portion. The main portion has an inner face near the upper abutting portion and the lower abutting portion. The terminal has plural contacting points as the lower abutting portion abuts against an upper portion of the inner face, the upper abutting portion abuts against a lower portion of the inner face and the upper abutting portion and the lower abutting portion abut against with each other when the terminals are pressed, and thus , the terminal has plural transmission paths and is stably supported by the plural contacting points .
