Spring connector

Abstract

A spring connector is provided that maintains necessary waterproof performance even in applications where a movable pin repeatedly slides. The connector includes: a conductive tube body; a conductive movable pin protruding from an opening in the tube body at the front end; a spring disposed within the tube body and biasing the movable pin in the axial direction to cause the movable pin to protrude; a waterproof elastomer disposed around the front end of the movable pin protruding from the tube body; and a receiving recess configured to receive the waterproof elastomer. When the waterproof elastomer is received in the receiving recess, at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the waterproof elastomer contacts the inner peripheral surface of the receiving recess, and at least a portion of the inner peripheral surface of the waterproof elastomer makes circumferential contact with the outer peripheral surface of the front end of the movable pin at multiple points in the axial direction of the movable pin.
