Connector for a sensor module

Abstract

A connector for a sensor module is provided, which comprises: a first connector module, including a first housing and a plurality of first contacts held by the first housing; a second connector module, including a second housing, a plurality of second contacts held by the second housing and a sleeve shell into which the second housing is fitted; and a covering housing which is formed by insert molding for partially enclosing an assembly formed of the first and second connector modules. By means of the configuration of the above-described connector, assembling of the sensor module can be easily performed and water or moisture ingress into the sensor module can be prevented.
