Power protection circuit and surge protection circuit thereof

Abstract

A power protection circuit includes a surge protection circuit and a filter and conversion circuit. The surge protection circuit receives a power supply. The power supply has a first voltage terminal and a second voltage terminal. The surge protection circuit includes an overvoltage protection unit, a surge current limiting unit and a control unit. The filter and conversion circuit is coupled to the surge protection circuit. The overvoltage protection unit is coupled to the power supply, and the surge current limiting unit is coupled to the overvoltage protection unit. The control unit is coupled to the overvoltage protection unit and is used to detect whether the overvoltage protection unit fails and to transmit a state signal.
