Restricting channel state information report configurations based on user equipment capabilities

Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit UE capability information that indicates one or more UE capabilities. The UE may receive a plurality of channel state information (CSI) report configurations for inference applicability enquiry, wherein the plurality of CSI report configurations are restricted or not restricted by the one or more UE capabilities based at least in part on a standard definition, a network indication, or the UE capability information. The UE may transmit an applicable functionality report that indicates one or more CSI report configuration identifiers associated with one or more respective CSI report configurations from the plurality of CSI report configurations.
