Joining device, method for determining whether the joining is successful, and sheet material

Abstract

The joining device of the present invention includes: a sheet holding part, a pressing mechanism, a sound receiving part, and a control part. The sheet holding part holds the peripheral portion of a sheet whose surface is already attached to a first joining object. The pressing mechanism presses the first joining object against a second joining object by pressing it against the back side of the sheet, causing the sheet to elastically deform. The sound receiving part acquires sound generated by the sheet or its surroundings. The control part determines whether the joining of the first joining object to the second joining object is successful; this determination process determines whether the joining is successful by judging whether the sheet has peeled off from the first joining object based on the sound acquired by the sound receiving part during the process of releasing the pressing mechanism from the first joining object and allowing the sheet to return to its original state.
