Abstract
This invention relates to a method for making tea using liquid nitrogen, which utilizes the temperature difference between liquid nitrogen and tea leaves to break down the carbon chains in the tea leaves. The method includes the following steps: (1) heating the tea leaves; (2) treating with liquid nitrogen; and (3) drying the tea leaves. In this invention, the tea leaves are heated to between 100°C and 180°C, and then placed in a sealed container filled with liquid nitrogen. The low temperature of the liquid nitrogen (minus 196°C) and the high temperature of the tea leaves (100°C to 180°C) cause the carbon chains in the tea leaves to break down. After standing for approximately 24 hours to allow the liquid nitrogen to evaporate, the tea leaves are removed and then dried. The resulting tea is neither bitter nor astringent, possessing an excellent drinking taste, representing a significant improvement over traditional tea methods.
